Steve was a one of a kind guy. We met in our sophmore year through Wayne Cowen. All the girls loved Steve. I was just happy to be around him and his pals. We did cut classes a lot, especially American Problems class. Played lots of pool, drinking and day trips to Monterey etc.. Our truancy findly got us busted. I lost the senior ball, but Steve got a slap on the wrist. Steve drove a cool 55 Chevy and I had my folks old 50 chevy. I worked with Steve at his Dad's carpet business in Oakland on many a weekend. After graduation we continued to have the best of times. Steve and Wayne finally joined the Army Reserve and I met my wife to be. In 1964 , I got married (Alameda girl) and Steve was my Best Man. We kept in touch and actually became neighbors in Danville in early 70's. My wife and I dragged Steve and his new wife Shirley to the 25th ? OHS reunion in Oakland. We lost Steve in 2009. Shirley (my wife) and I had lunch with Steve's parents and brother (Tom) recently in Palm Desert. Tom told me that Steve had said I was the only guy who could always make him laugh. That meant a lot to me. Knowing Steve and his family changed my life for the better. Jerry Clifford
