Mr. Miller was one of my favorite teachers at OHS. He made civics come alive.

Ronnie Miller, as we called him our senior year, was an inspiration.  His lessons were thoroughly researched, lively and fascinating and we all wanted to ace his quizzes.  He exemplified the best of Oakland High and made us all want to meet his expectations.  He was my favourite teacher with Karl Cooperrider. Both changed my life and taught me things that have stayed with me forever. How wonderful we had a chance to see him again at our reunion in 2012. Our teachers at Oakland High were the best.

I would like to echo your comment about Mr. Miller, Lindy.  We did have some amazing teachers, and he was one of them for me as well.  His section on Comparative Religions has informed my entire spiritual life.  His classes and that of our other amazing teachers like Dr. Preston, Mr Miles Myers, etc.  made my first experience at UC Davis less than stimulating, ie.  disappointing.

anyway, he will live on for me as on of the greats. Sorry I missed the reunion being in India following my spirtual path in Tibetan Buddhism.   Mully
