Our 50th Reunion is ON! Here are the essential details:

Walnut Creek Marriott
5:30 - 11:00 p.m.
$100 per person, including hors d'oeuvre, salad, a dual-entree (salmon and chicken) dinner, dessert and two drinks. Also, dancing to the sounds of our high school years.
It's a bit early to send out invitations, but do save the date. Also, we are offering several activities around the reunion:
Friday, Oct. 6: A mid-morning tour of the Oakland High campus.
Friday, 4 - 7 pm: Happy Hour(s), a social mixer at Scott's near the Marriott.
Sunday morning: A no-host breakfast gathering for those who stay at the Marriott.
We have a special discount rate of $89 at the Marriott. (Call 888-236-2427 and use the code OAK-OAKA.)
Note: We, the reunion committee, thought long and hard about the price. $100 sounds high, but it's in line with other recent reunions, and helps us cover the many costs of producing this very special event, including music, decorations, displays, name tags and communications. We are accepting contributions to help defray production costs and to allow us to offer complimentary admissions to several faculty members we have located.
Invitations with RSVP forms will be sent out early this spring. For now, please save the date.

And please let us know if we have names wrong. Easy to do over 50 years. One classmate just alerted us to the fact that Mary Fraser's name was wrong in the Oaken Bucket, and wrong here, too. No more. Anybody else?
Speaking of the Bucket: It's here. Well, the section with our graduation photos, anyway. Check it out -- and find yourself -- by going to "Oaken Bucket" on the left panel.
Also, we've put together "Our Soundtrack," songs from '60, '61 and '62--a full hour of great tunes and jingles from the stations we listened to, KEWB, KYA, KDIA. And if you want to make a request, do so in our Message Forum and we'll get it on there, near the top, so you don't have to wait to hear it. Enjoy!
