Terry Moreland, beloved husband, grandfather and community leader, passed away peacefully in Oakland on December 27, 2024 He was 80
Born in San Francisco, and a long-time resident of Oakland, Terry was known for h is humor, generous spirit, and unwavering kindness. His commitment to his community was evident in his leadership roles, including serving as president of the Lake Merritt Breakfast Club, Children's Fairyland, and the Lincoln Child Center Foundation. He was a devoted volunteer at the Odd Fellows Recreation Club in Sonoma County, where he cherished time in the redwoods with family and friends.
Terry attended UC Berkeley and was a member of SAE. He earned his B.S. degree in business and industrial management from San Jose State, and had a successful career as a general contractor.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Wahlgren, a fellow member of OHS's class of 1962.
Carolyn, I was so saddened by the announcemnt of Terry's passing. It was so great to get to see you and Terry at the reunions. Prayers for you and your family.
