Bob's daughter, Wendy, wrote to inform us that Bob sadly passed away April 19, 2022 as a result of a bad fall. Sincere condolences to Wendy and her family.
Bob Welsh's daughter, Wendy, has written: "I am sorry to inform you that my father passed away on April 19th. He had a very bad fall and was unable to recover fully. I was here with him; I am grateful for that. He is missed dearly."
Wendy sent her note to, among others, Kathy Bramlett MacLennan, with a request to post the information on this site. Kathy added her memories of Bob, who was a retired scuba instructor in Hawaii.
I met Bob when I was 2 years old and moved into the house directly across the street from him. We played together every day until I had to move at age 12.
As older adults, through emails, we shared so many of our beautiful memories of growing up together as dear friends. Both of us felt very blessed to live where we lived on the edge of Dimond Canyon. We swam on the Dimond Oaks swim team together, played games and ball and went on adventures in the forbidden Dimond canyon. We celebrated holidays, shot off fireworks, rode bikes and our families were very close. We both had older brothers that were the same age named Mike, and our mothers were best friends.
