I'm so sorry to hear we lost Rufus.  My first memory of him was my first year at OHS, he sat in front of me in Homeroom, his nick name was also Terry.  He was the one that told me I should spell it with an "ie".  "The girls way". Which I did.  Thanks Rufus for setting me straight.  Fun guy.  Fun memories.  Thanks ole friend.

What a loss.I feel so sad.  He was a kind and gentle soul. I remember having several wonderful conversations with him at the reunion. He loved his family and the part he played in the history of rock and roll. Bought his CD after that. He will be missed by many.

So sad to hear about the loss of my dear childhood friend Terry.  We spent hours talking about the fun times we shared together as children at the 50th reunion.  A sweet, gentle, talented man who will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace dear friend.  Luv you.

R.I.P. dear friend.  Somehow I didn't think we would lose you so soon.  I will miss our little chats and mutual birthday greetings.  You are Heaven Bound dear gentle soul.

Oh my, Rufus was such a joy to see at the reunion. We even made plans to try and get together. He was so fun and funny and now he is with his Jesus making Jesus laugh. I sure wish we had gotten together before he passed though. He will be missed of that I am sure and now we will not be able to get together until we meet again in heaven our real and permanent home. As Warren said, "rest in peace my friend and I ditto that; so from me, Janet, rest in peace, Rufus, you are now laughing and singing with Jesus. Love, Janet

I've known Terry since Junior Hight School. We talked on the phone recently. He was a good guy and I learned a lot from him. Rest in Peace Terry.

Terry was such a great spirit. We were so happy to spotlight him at our 50th reunion and to play a bit of Tower of Power, where he was the original vocalist. We kept in touch about a recording project, and I played a song of his on my online radio show, and had hoped to hear a lot more. I'm sure we will. Good music can't be kept down. On behalf of the Class of '62 -- HIS class of '62 -- I sent our sympathies and best wishes to the Miller family.  -- Ben

Terry lived down the street from me when we were growing up.  We played tennis at Bella Vista and practiced our track and field skills together.  He always had a great singing voice and used it on wax with Tower of  Power.  When I was diagnosed with cancer, he was one of the first to call me and offer his prayers.  His prayers were answered since I survived.  I will miss you ol' friend.  May God receive you and give you peace.
